Hollywood Bowl Group announces new multi-level entertainment centre for Chelmsford

- Set to be a popular new addition to the city, the new Hollywood Bowl Chelmsford centre will have multi-leisure activities including ten-pin bowling, interactive darts and amusements.

19th August 2026: Hollywood Bowl Group, one of the UK's leading leisure operators, has announced that work has started on a brand-new entertainment centre in Chelmsford.
The multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art centre will be located inside the city's popular The Meadows Shopping Centre, making it the brands 80th venue in the UK
Hollywood Bowl has built a strong reputation for delivering affordable experiences across the UK, and the new centre will bring a mix of competitive socialising activities to the local area.
The two-floor unit will feature lanes of ten-pin bowling, including exclusive VIP lanes, alongside interactive darts, pool tables and a fun-filled amusements area. Guests will also be able to enjoy great-value diner-style food and drink that the brand is famous for, with bar and diner facilities available.
Adding to the excitement, Hollywood Bowl Chelmsford will be the first centre to feature Neoverse – a brand-new entertainment experience bringing even more ways for guests to play, compete and have fun. Neoverse integrates directly into the gameplay experience, projecting vivid graphics, dynamic lighting effects, and integrated scoring data above the bowling pins to transform traditional bowling lanes into an interactive visual atmosphere.
