Four key revenue streams

Ten-pin bowling is for everyone

It’s a game where competition is healthy and all get to celebrate. We are the UK’s market leader and the game’s biggest fans.

We always look for new ways to improve our customers’ experience and have invested in enhancing the bowling environment by improving the seating and lanes and have installed VIP lanes for customers who want to make their experience that extra bit special.

Our scoring system promotes healthy competition by allowing us to send personalised and engaging post-bowling communications to our customers detailing their scores and strikes.

Our team members are key to the overall experience and are on hand to not only take food and drink orders, but to actively cheer on our customers’ efforts and are always ready to celebrate a great score, too!

Bowling is our core revenue stream. We operate more than 1,500 bowling lanes across 70 centres in the UK and Canada.

Each centre offers a diverse experience with three nine-hole interactive courses and bar, diner and amusement areas. Unique course designs are complemented by creative use of technology.

Using experience gained from our bowling operations, digital channels form an integral part of the Puttstars customer journey and marketing approach. A unique, bespoke scoring system introduces digital gamification and replaces the traditional pencil and scorecard method. In-centre installations, like our course leaderboards, encourage increased dwell time and ancillary spend on food and drink as well as giving our customers content for their social media accounts.

We have made enhancements to our existing centre environments, as well as developing our brand framework and improving the customer proposition.

Our new Peterborough centre, which opened in November 2022, incorporates learnings from a major customer research project which informed some changes to the centre’s environment.


We make things playful with fun-filled family focused arcades combining traditional and cutting-edge games.

Our amusement areas are the perfect place for some additional competition before or after customers’ games of bowling.

There is something for everyone – whether it’s air hockey and basketball hoops, games with prizes or the latest state-of-the-art video games.

Our games keepers maintain our arcades to high operational standards and keep them well stocked with the latest must-have prizes.

Our family focused arcades feature traditional and start-of-the-art video games.

  • Regular new machine installations ensure that we are the ‘go-to’ family amusement centre
  • ‘Play for prizes’ in majority of centres
  • We are removing barriers to play with contactless payment and rolling out Nayax ‘tap
    to play’, which provides digital coin credit to be used on our games

Food and Beverage

Bowling and mini golf work up an appetite and a thirst to match, so we lay on a great choice of quality food and drink for our customers.

Our attentive hosts can take customer orders and are complemented by licensed bars offering a wide range of branded soft and alcoholic drinks and coffees.

We also offer a great value food range with our menus.
